Rocking Horse

It's about time I dedicated a post to the shoe that, in an instant, reminds me of Japan. Meet the Rocking Horse shoes designed by Ms. Vivienne Westwood.

Rocking3

I first saw these shoes while enamored with a little manga/movie entitled "Nana". These shoes are iconic and somewhat symbolic of "true punk" style over there in Harajuku. Truly coveted, these shoes are not cheap, with several smaller shops selling used pairs at stable, inflated prices.

Sport-mode

Just lounging about in my newest garb of the day - an insanely comfortable blouson dress from the Y-3 collabo between Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas. Who ever thought I'd buy an Adidas dress? I think I can live with myself. In this dress. Forever.

Celebrity

So two days ago I was blabbing about Tiffany sunglasses and how I bought the cheaper Prada version. I should pony up and show the goods! Here they be:

Holy Grail

I'm getting pretty darn good at these online sale things. Or, maybe not, but I got it when it counted. As you may know, I love Alexander McQueen (pause)..yes yes. As you may or may not know, he creates beautiful things and my favorite-est ones are his scarves. This may sound melodramatic but, I die a little every time I check the price tag on them. Well, I got me one, and it is perfect.

Cheaply Made, Exepensive Crap

Okay, so I wasn't very imaginative with the title of this blog, but I must admit I'm a bit disgruntled with the producers over at Vivienne Westwood. When I was in London last year I wanted to buy something from the Vivienne Westwood flagship on Conduit Street, and I didn't feel like dropping an excessive amount of pounds, so I just bought a necklace. Turns out, the necklace was apt to shedding it's Swarovski crystals and they don't believe in responding to customer inquiries. Perfect...I'll just go over here into my little corner with my broken necklace and nosh on some fish and chippies.

Grocs

I've developed a thing for sunglasses recently...and frankly, I think no one does finery quite like Tiffany. Okay, that's a lie, but the sunglasses were a great shape for my face so I wanted them. Sticker price = $8xx, "discounted" price = $4xx. Um, no. I bought the cheaper Prada version, but I still think these are cuter.

Git Yer Long-John's On

It is wrong that I feel winter is right around the corner? Yes, it's August, my thoughts are naturally turning to the blustery cool of winter and so I start shopping accordingly. Maybe I'm just looking for an excuse?

Four-Eyes

Confession time. I don't need glasses. I got laser eye surgery two and a half years ago and my vision is better than 20/20, but my benefit provider doesn't need to know that. I thought I'd like some glasses to wear as an accessory occasionally and, like anything else I buy, I wanted it to suit me and yet be a respected name. As it turns out, the "accessory" glasses I picked cost more than any of the frames I bought when I actually needed them.

Black Ribbon

I'm a fairly recent Lanvin convert...where has it been all my life? Well, who can say why we'd never connected before but I'm sold now. This pretty thing seals the deal.

Candy-Coated

I probably don't understand this because I'm not fashion-guru-ish enough, but I've heard that Christian Louboutin shoes are uncomfortable, tight, and completely impractical (that's a given). That's all fine and dandy and I frankly don't care about any of that, but what's the point of the pain if you can't even tell they cost you a pretty penny? What's that? It's not the commoners you want to impress...its the ones who know it is CL. Okay, I get it.

Brass Knuckles

So I'm not a clutch person. Not sure why that is...I'm more a giant-ass shoulder bag kind of person. I feel that constantly having it in hand would get it all sweaty-palmed and since it would expensive (naturally - this is me we are talking about) that it would get discoloured. Am I grossing you out? I don't mean my sweat is chemical-y or whatever...eh, I'm digging my grave here. Anyway, onto the sweet, heavy-metal look of this brass-knuckle type clutch from my fashion hero.

These Go Well With a Side of Ruffle-y Socks

I've been tromping around in my new Loeffler Randall shoes shown in
this post
and I must say I am impressed! The shoes are gorgeous, comfortable, and best of all, Italian. I might just toss my whole lot of shoes and re-buy only Italian shoes...it would at least give me something else to do. Please borrow me your credit cards.

Silhouetta

I like the skirt on this skin-hugging dress...the cut, the shape, the flow. This is my last gush about A.McQ for a while as I really need to find something new to prey on. That is, of course, until he unleashes another undeniably fabulous collection on us and we all are blinded it awe. It's been known to happen.

Warm Yet Cold

I think its great when designers pair a barely-there summer shirt with a scarf. Yes, scarves are fashionable, but functional with a sleeveless shirt? I'd wear it.

AMQ6aAMQ6b
I still like polka dots.

L.B.D. for the Millionth Time

Truthfully, I don't know your atypical little black dress. Where would I need to wear it? Work? The library during homework? Visiting the relatives for a BBQ? No, my life does not require a L.B.D. beyond the giant black jumper I wear when I feel fat. I still like this one though.

Life Before I Met You

I'm bad at posting.

I've been hoarding a bunch of pictures I found a while back so I'll share two with you now...sorry if I'm already out of fashion (sarcasm). You know how things go. However, it is not yet after Labour Day (like I pay attention to that anyways) so I can go ahead and post lovely pictures of this delicious Prada sack I could use in my collection.

Meet My New Girlfriend

I've been searching high and low for a decent pair of sandals, but frankly, I'd given up hope of finding my ideal pair, now that we are halfway through summer. Yesterday while shopping at Holt Renfrew, the sandals found me. Because it took so long, everything has now hit the sales racks and I couldn't be more pleased - everyone, I'd like you to meet Chloé.

Kickin' It in Sky-Highs

Oi. After much debating at staring at these shoes and nearly buying them previously, today, I caved. Please don't tell anyone I've been shopping again - my friend Rachel will judge me! (Although I am fully aware that posting such information on my blog invites that knowledge of my actions. For shame.) I'll get over it though. My first pair of coveted Loeffler Randall's Italian beauties.

Can't Quit You

So I've been shopping again in the last few days, but don't tell anyone. It's just low-budget type things: McQ crops and a Harajuku Lovers hoodie. Pictures to follow...and here they are! Ah, good old casual fare for summer.

Swing Kids

Is coral a hot new colour? I didn't see that one coming if it is. If the style of this dress looks familiar to you, it probably is. I think this "Grecian Goddess"-style dress has been stuck onto the bodies of more Hollywood "it girls" than Brody Jenner or Wilmer Valderrama put together. Thank goodness for that.

My Kind of Flashing Coat

I am a big-time jacket whore. It's hard for me to see a nice jacket and say no to it - this is why I have a closet full of jackets. I can justify a need for every type of jacket under the sun. I love trenches, but they always have so many damn buttons that fall off that I spend far too much time sewing on buttons.

New goal - become a stick and buy pretty sheath dresses.

This Girl Needs Heels

So due to my lacking imagination and abundance of Alexander's, here's a mini-series dedicated to his creations that have come to life. True, I yanked most of them off of the same site, but it had so much to offer. I could spend bazillions.

Presenting Once Again...

So I'm back to doing stuff here again. At least for now. I don't know if I can keep pace with daily updates, but I'll do stuff. You know, stuff stuff.

Anyways, Alexander McQueen has quickly become by absolute favie designer in quite a short time...not that it was hard to do. His stuff is just so completely wearable and features no Pamela Anderson advertisements.

Here's my newly-wanting shirt dress.

Taking a Break...

Hey...I don't know if anyone even reads this blog, but I'm taking a posting break for a while. The spending and coveting needs to slow down and I need to focus on schoolwork and life right now. I'm sure the fever will strike and I'll post lovely things again shortly.

Until then, be good.

Inhaling Smoke

I've never been a big clutch fan. They seem like handbags but hold less things and you actually need to have your hand on them at all times. What if I want to eat while standing up? This would not work. I might be willing to starve, however, if I had this in my hot little hands.

All Tied Up

Miu Miu's adorable accessories are quickly gaining momentum towards being my favorite accessories period. Actually, since I don't have a current favorite, I think I will make Miu Miu it by default. There, done. This cute bow necklace has been dubbed 'coveted'.

Make Me Fancy

Some days I feel like I want to wear a suit or jacket to work but the stuff I have is, well, stuffy. Blue pinstripe boring-ness doesn't inspire me so I just never wear it. If I owned this charming jacket by Vivienne Westwood, I think I'd wear it often.
