Haider

I read this blog on a daily basis and the girl knows what she's talking about. I just nod along. During her fantastic coverage of the fashion weeks, I just looked over the good stuff she posted about. It was nice. But then along came Haider Ackermann. Have you seen his work? Um...! You gotta see what he's putting out there...






All her other posts are fantastic too, so check it out if you give a crap about fashion. And as for Haider...well...these are just divine.

Haan-ds Down

I used to think leather jackets were reserved for older people who shop at Danier Leather. I mean, my parents picked up new leather jackets each spring when the winter coats were on clearance and frankly, they weren’t flattering or fashionable (sorry Mom). However, I got a bee in my bonnet (so to speak) last winter and I set out on a hunt for one…from someplace else. Well, it turns out that the someplace was a Rue La La sale, and though the model and styling were absolutely horrific, I saw beyond to a sweet Cole Haan jacket at a decent price.







It’s hard, isn’t it? To look past the dowdy ensemble and boring hair? Gosh these pictures are unflattering to the jacket. Trust me…it looks better on me!

My Kind of Flashing Coat

I am a big-time jacket whore. It's hard for me to see a nice jacket and say no to it - this is why I have a closet full of jackets. I can justify a need for every type of jacket under the sun. I love trenches, but they always have so many damn buttons that fall off that I spend far too much time sewing on buttons.

Hoity-toity, Louis Vuitton is thy name. While my life's goal is still to become the CEO and President of LVMH Group, I must stress to become the next Marc Jacobs will do just well enough. Excuse me while I go prepare myself.

Coat Me

Today, I bought a new coat. Unfortunately, this post is not about the coat I bought, but rather, coats I wish I'd bought. I'm really excited about these two coats as they have whimsical details and cute gathering at the seams...the fact that they are Miu Miu designs really have nothing to do with their appeal I'm sure. I'm holding my breath for a sale on these.

Entrenched

Spring is coming! Time to pack up those winter jackets and bust out the stylish spring ensembles. As mentioned below, I did pick up a few items from the COMME des GARÇONS capsule collection at H&M and I'm looking forward to sporting this trench a la Victoria Beckham-style. Or something like that.

It Could Be Winter Everyday...

I know winter is almost over (especially here in BC), but finding a great coat almost makes me want it to stay for a while yet. Apparently Punxsutawney Phil thinks that it will. Crazy gophers. I should also mention I have a big-time jacket fetish...I can never have enough. With a price tag of over $1,500, this one will have to stay on the rack for a while yet...
